FACS is a one-semester course in sixth and eighth grade. Each course has a different curriculum that provides students with the knowledge to make positive choices, the opportunities to work with others and develop teamwork, the know-how to manage personal resources, and current information regarding safety and good health.
6th Grade Focus:
Major topics in sixth grade include interpersonal relationships, environmental issues, child development, clothing and sustainability, and foods and nutrition.
8th Grade Focus:
Major topics in eighth grade include financial literacy, interpersonal relationships, college and career planning, clothing and sustainability, and foods and nutrition.
